I can pretend and act sincere But I’ll just pretend that you are here Every angle so well defined Every diamond already mined Pixels mirrored in a wall of light I guess you’re doing just all right I got wires instead of teeth I got you living all over me I can’t let this be. Stuck in the geometry Is this reality? I can’t let this be. Stuck in the geometry, yeah I need a reset, please Diagnosed and criticized No real reason to stay alive My body is here while my mind’s out there Can’t find a reason to care I can’t let this be. Stuck in the geometry, yeah I need a reset, please I can’t let this be. Stuck in the geometry Will my world unfreeze? I can’t let this be. Stuck in the geometry Is this reality? I can’t let this be. Stuck in the geometry I need a reset, please

Feelin It 04:44
You’re breaking up and I can’t hear just what you say to me. Communication is essential for us to live in harmony There’s a blackout nothing on the radio wires crossed no one knows where they go We’re connected and it’s all intertwined / but still it feels like we’re hanging off a power line Yeah, I’m feeling it, too Diving down into this hell with you Yeah, I’m feeling it, too Can’t give up, we’re gonna pull through Give me the truth now spit it out decisions all eclipsed in doubt All fucked up with what they think they know. Talking heads on all the TV shows You can go and feast your eyes until you can almost taste the prize Then when you’ve reached the end they'll rip out right from your hands Yeah, I’m feeling it, too Diving down into this hell with you Yeah, I’m feeling it, too Can’t give up, we’re going to pull through Channel surfing through all this bullshit. I’m so completely over it Scrolling through and watching clips. I’m so completely over it Channel surfing through all the bullshit. I’m so completely over it I’m so completely over it. Can we just get it over with? Yeah, I’m feeling it, too Diving down into this hell with you Yeah, I’m feeling it, too Can’t give up, we’re gonna pull through Yeah, I’m feeling it, too Diving down into this hell with you Yeah, I’m feeling it, too Can’t give up, we’re gonna pull through

Firefighter 04:42
Lake street sinks into the sand You gotta find yourself another man The heat is way too much for me, yeah And everyday is another tragedy Alarms ring out out across the street It's obvious the answer is at my feet, yeah You gotta know something’s not right Everyday’s another fight I’m not a firefighter it’s true (and I'm not coming after you) And I’m not coming after you Debris is scattered across the land Time to make a different plan Temperature is melting me I run away, but it’s too late to leave Alarms ring out out across the street It's obvious the answer is at my feet, yeah You gotta know something’s not right Everyday’s another fight I’m not a firefighter it’s true (and I'm not coming after you) And I’m not coming after you And I’m not coming after you You gotta know something’s not right Everyday’s another fight I’m not a firefighter it’s true (and I'm not coming after you) And I’m not coming after you And I’m not coming after you And I’m not coming after you And I’m not coming after you And I’m not coming after you And I’m not coming after you And I’m not coming after you

You’ve got me dialed in Fixed focus lens No question’s asked You’ve got my attention I’m going to sort it out There’s no reason to doubt me I’ve got no more distractions I’m all here for you I’m all here for you But then it all falls through wooooah - I can’t think through all the doom and gloom wooooah - I'm strung out, I'm halfway to the tomb wooooah - I gotta question every single move wooooah - I can’t think through all the doom and gloom Who do you think I am? I can’t follow the plan We made arrangements Low-rate of retention It’s been filed away I think it’s better this way We can start over I was all here for you I was all here for you But then it all fell through wooooah - I can’t think through all the doom and gloom wooooah - I'm strung out, I'm halfway to the tomb wooooah - I gotta question every single move wooooah - I can’t think through all the doom and gloom From coast to coast (from coast to coast) We’re at each other’s throats (from coast to coast) From coast to coast (from coast to coast) No one's reading the notes (from coast to coast) From coast to coast (from coast to coast) We’re at each other’s throats (from coast to coast) From coast to coast (from coast to coast) No one really knows No one really knows No one really knows I guess it'll be okay Is that what I'm supposed to say? With everything in the way Who's listening anyway? Who's listening anyway? Who's listening anyway?

about

Vocalist/bassist Grant Ertl and guitarist Matt Lilla began collaborating in 2019 focused on revisiting 90s indie rock. The off-kilter but catchy chord progressions of groups like Pavement and Dinosaur Jr. were immediate reference points, but as their own style developed, classic rock influences crept in as well with the addition of Dave Smith on drums. The lead guitar work of Christoph Bruhn added the final piece of their flavorful lo-fi puzzle by adding some twangy country goodness.

Lyrically, Coast to Coast is mostly about overcoming the loneliness and disconnected feelings of the modern digital world and finding a way to persevere.

QB Club recorded this album in the spring of 2021.
